Blackwater James – “Blackheart” [Song Stream]

The Skinny: Blackwater James has been called “straight up, invigorating, American hard rock”, a “band of swagger”, and “blazing a rock n’ roll revival”, and they live up to every word on their sophomore release EP aptly titled VOL 1. with the hit single “Blackheart”.

Blackwater James is the hard-rock quartet formed out of Country Music, USA… Nashville, TN. With an aggressive and infectious sound they tore out of Nashville in 2009 reaching huge audiences with their mix of hard rock, classic rock, and an energetic approach not seen since Guns N’ Roses. The band is comprised of Chrisopher James on lead vocals and guitar, Deanna on guitar, Josh on bass, and Todd on drums.

Their self-titled debut album was internationally released in April of 2009 and received nothing but positive response. Their album was featured in Classic Rock Magazine, Black Velvet, Power Play, and all over the internet on the most prominent blogs and review sites. Their first single “Rock Steady” was in constant rotation on over a dozen terrestrial radio stations in the UK as well as on stations in France, Germany, and Italy with spins in select markets in the south-east.

Blackwater James recorded VOL 1. at Benchmark Sound in Nashville, TN with Chris Utley. In November, the band signed an exclusive distribution deal with KLM to coincide with the release of the first single “Blackheart”.
