Between The Buried And Me – “Best Of”
For years progressive metal juggernauts Between The Buried And Me have been dominating the metal scene and as a celebration, Victory Records recently released a Best Of album; a collection of the band’s most popular songs from 2003-2009. The two audio disc set covers a wide breadth of material including the albums: The Silent Circus, Alaska, Colors, The Great Misdirect and Colors Live.

What’s really nice about this collection is that, as a fan, one can clearly see how BTBAM have progressed and matured in their writing over the span of the aforementioned records (a six year period). The farther one delves into this release, the more there’s a noticeable improvement in the overall sound quality, production and playing.
As a bonus, a DVD is also included in the Best Of and has all three of the band’s music videos and a companion film for Colors dubbed “Synesthesia”. While it doesn’t include any new music, this release is a definite must-have for all Between The Buried And Me fans, or for anyone looking to discover this group.
