Shield Of Wings use their symphonic metal sound, which is beautiful but devious, on their new EP Solarium. The focus is predominantly on the soprano vocals of Grace Meridan which occasionally get backed by James Gregor’s growls. However, the vocals cannot take all the credit on this EP; the instrumentals are exceptional with excellent riffs. Not many symphonic bands boast instrumentals on the same level as the vocals.

Solarium is a solid EP which every metalhead should at the least check out. I can see big things in Shield Of Wing’s future since the sky is the limit for this talent. Fans of Leaves’ Eyes, Deadlock, BlackSky and UnSun will enjoy Shield Of Wings and their EP Solarium.
