For NYC based hard/modern rock band, Against The Wall, the truth is that everything in a song can and should be memorable – every verse, chorus, riff, and guitar solo – even a grinding breakdown should be singable. ATW’s debut CD, titled The Truth, is a tribute to that idea. The Truth is a unique 13-song modern rock gem that achieves a unique balance of melody and aggression, seamlessly fusing all the best elements of hard/progressive rock and pop.
ATW was founded by Daniel Jakubovic, world renowned guitar virtuoso and multi-instrumentalist, and frequent collaborator with Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater). Daniel played guitar on Jordan Rudess’ solo album, Rhythm of Time along with Joe Satriani and others, and most recently participated in the Musical Mind Meld, an epic three-hour online jam featuring Jordan Rudess and drummer extraordinaire, Marco Minnemann, in December 2010.
Against The Wall has made a name for themselves, touring extensively throughout the US in support of their debut album, The Truth, with major label bands including Framing Hanley (Warner/SMG), The Veer Union (Universal), RED (Sony/Essential), and others, and will be following up with their sophomore effort in mid 2011.
