CAKE Perform on Conan, Premiere New Song and Announce Tour Dates

Cake performed their hit single “Sick Of You” on Conan last night, watch it HERE. They also performed a web exclusive of “Long Time” as well, a song that EW.com premiered earlier in the day HERE. Both songs are off the bands forthcoming album ‘Showroom Of Compassion’, Out January 11, 2011. New CAKE tour dates for 2011 announced below, including a three nights at Center Stage in Atlanta and four nights at The Fillmore in San Francisco.

Cake is playing a handful of radio shows this month, highlighted by a special 101.9 WRXP show at Irving Plaza in NYC on December 7 and the KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas at Universal Amphitheatre in LA on December 11. The band recently stopped by KROQ’s The Kevin & Bean Show for a live performance of “Sick Of You” and “Short Skirt/Long Jacket.” Watch it HERE. Cake is set to appear on The Late Show with Jimmy Fallon on January 12th 2011. “Sick Of You” is Top 5 at Alternative Radio right now and headed towards Top 10 at Triple A. The video for “Sick Of You” has been added to rotation at both MTV2 and mtvU and can be viewed HERE.

‘Showroom Of Compassion’ is Cake’s 6th studio album, and their first record of new material since 2004’s ‘Pressure Chief’. The album was recorded over the last two and a half years and was produced and engineered by the band themselves at Cake’s own solar electric powered studio in Sacramento, CA.
