Fake Problems – “Real Ghosts Caught On Tape”

Fake Problems released their third full length, Real Ghosts Caught On Tape, earlier this month, and the band has taken the eclectic sound from their last CD, the excellent It’s Great To Be Alive, and made it entirely their own, producing a CD full of songs that are catchy as all hell.

Fake Problems released their third full length, Real Ghosts Caught On Tape, earlier this month, and the band has taken the eclectic sound from their last CD, the excellent It’s Great To Be Alive, and made it entirely their own, producing a CD full of songs that are catchy as all hell.

The album blends light, bouncy guitar tracks, with heart-felt, sincere lyrics, in a way that makes for a collection of excellent songs. Particular stand out tracks include “The Magazines,” “Songs For Teenagers,” “Rsvp,” and “Soulless” – which is available as a free download on the Fake Problems website.

The band has always had a reputation for a solid live show – as well as a relentless touring schedule – and I’m excited to see how these songs are translated to live performance. I think the most important thing about Fake Problems is that they manage to be incredibly unique in the music they make, while still being accessible, and frankly, a whole lot of fun to listen to.  [ END ]
