CONDUCTING FROM THE GRAVE Partner with LambGoat to Exclusively Debut New Track

Brutally unrelenting, savagely intense and downright uncompromising should be Conducting From The Grave’s mission statement as this band aims straight for the jugular with a barrage of frenetic riffs and a bottom end that will make your heart sink to your feet. This is the new face of extreme metal and the future never looked so bright. The Sacramento, CA quintet’s vicious new offering, ‘Revenants’ (set for an October 25th release), is bound to create some buzz within the metal scene and you don’t want to miss them on tour with Suicide Silence all this month. Be sure to visit the band’s MySpace page now to view the entire tour schedule. Also, look for Conducting From The Grave on tour with Arsis and Powerglove this December.
The band has partnered up with Lambgoat.com to exclusive debut their new track “Unholiest of Nightmares,” which can be accessed now at THIS LOCATION.
Jeff Morgan (guitars) further states: “The track, ‘Unholiest of Nightmares,’ is my personal favourite on our new album ‘Revenants’. It has a little of everything that represents our style from classic CFTG thrash-style riffing to pretty melodic parts, as well as crushing heaviness. The track does a good job of representing a fairly comprehensive musical picture of the band. We have been playing it most nights on the current tour (the ‘Time to Bleed Tour’ with Suicide Silence).
So far it’s been going over great, as well as has the rest of the new material we’ve been playing. Things are looking great for the immediate future of the band. We’ve got some great tours lined up and we’re all super excited about the album release this coming Monday, October 25th. We actually get to play Denver to celebrate the release on Monday, which is great because Denver has always been like a home away from home for us.
To give you a little insight into the lyrical content of the track I asked our vocalist, Mikey, to give a thematic/inspirational overview of the lyrics. This is what he had to say: ‘Unholiest of Nightmares’ is really about a condition I suffer from regularly called sleep paralysis in which the brain wakes up in mid REM sleep but still secretes the chemicals that keep you paralyzed, resulting in hallucinations and the inability to move until your brain wakes up entirely. I remember one of the first times it happened to me, I woke up and couldn’t move and when I tried it felt like something was trying to possess me, slowly crawling up on top of my chest, and in the corner of the room a reaper like figure hovering toward me. It was the most sinister feeling of pure evil accompanied with fear that I have ever had. After I started experiencing more of these ‘attacks’ I did a lot of research about it and found out lots of interesting material from actual scientific facts all the way to ancient folklore, so naturally I thought it would be a great idea for a song. It was also very appropriate for the fast paced spiraling downfall into the pits of hell this song brings to the table instrumentally.”
