CHIMAIRA Drummer Andols Herrick Gives Exclusive Drumming Tips and Tutorial Online

Chimaira’s resident percussionist and drum instructor Andols Herrick has an amazing tool to help drummers become the best at their craft, and that tool is www.andolsherrick.com. At the site, fans and percussionists alike can view private lessons, watch video tutorials, and learn more about Herrick’s unique style of playing. You can also purchase his tutorial DVD at the site, entitled ‘New Ideas for Metal Drumming.’ The DVD includes instruction on double bass beats, time signature manipulation, and interval exercises for hands.

“Here people will find information on my instructional DVD, private lessons, and personalized video lessons,” states Herrick. “There is also instructional material there that shows my take on hand technique, foot technique, and drum setup. Hopefully drummers of all levels, whether you just started playing or have years under your belt, will find the information useful.”

A testimonial from www.andolsherrick.com states, “Andols’ instructional DVD has something for every playing level. I’ve been playing for almost 20 years now and I learned a lot from the DVD. I’ve always had problems incorporating fills and making transitions from song part to song part. Andols’ breakdown of how he applies fills was very helpful. And the fact that he shows these breakdowns in varying speeds was a huge help when you’re trying to dissect things. Everything he covers is presented in very clear terms so it’s easy to understand no matter what level you play at.” – Keith S.

Herrick adds, “I started www.andolsherrick.com so I could have a centralized place for all of the drumming education I’m involved with. It also will direct fans to my various social networking sites, where I’m able to interact with everyone.”

You can also view free video lessons at www.youtube.com/realandolsherrick. Catch Andols Herrick and Chimaira on stage, headlining SavageFest in Green Bay, WI on October 9th, 2010. Other bands performing at the festival are Soil, Dirge Within, and After the Burial.
