The Skinny: Mockteerah is making a lot of noise for a straight-up rock band out of Bonnyville, Alberta. Priding themselves in knowing what it means to be true “sons of the land”, Mockteerah’s lead-singer writes music that comes from his roots, seeds planted by Led Zeppelin, cultivated by the grunge era and grown to maturity with a powerfully modern sound. The ability to move without moving, to love without loving, to hate without hating, Mockteerah’s music stands tall and screams out from the Albertan heartland.
Their debut single “The Long Kiss Goodnight” got added to The Goat/Lloydminster literally hours after the band got the final master back from Producers Holden Daniels (My Sister Ocean, Jezibelle) and Kevin Hoskin (Social Code, CHUNK, Ten Second Epic) and could soon be heard on that stations Top 8@8. Still in regular rotation, getting about 10 spins a week, the band is ready to branch out from their roots and make their mark. [ END ]
