LimeWire Store, a digital music store, announces its support of the 2010 season of the Celebrate Brooklyn! Performing Arts Festival, the annual outdoor series held at the Bandshell in Prospect Park, Brooklyn.

LimeWire Store will be the presenting sponsor for the highly-anticipated Sonic Youth performance held on July 31st, helping to bring an iconic group to one of New York City’s most exciting venues.

To commemorate the event, LimeWire Store and Celebrate Brooklyn! have produced ‘Ear to the Ground: Celebrate Brooklyn!’, a 13-track sampler that surveys the diverse array of performers from the 2010 season. The free digital sampler is now available for download exclusively at LimeWire Store.

“We’re thrilled to be a part of Celebrate Brooklyn! and are happy to be continuing our partnership with BRIC to make the season a huge success. The entire line-up this year is phenomenal, but we’re especially excited to be the presenting sponsor for the Sonic Youth performance. It’s going to be the must-see show in NYC this summer,” said Tom Monday, Director of Partner Relations at LimeWire Store.

“LimeWire Store has been a great partner. The free compilation album that they have helped us create showcases a select few of the many great artists playing at Celebrate Brooklyn! this summer,” said Jack Walsh, Director of Performing Arts for BRIC Arts Media Bklyn, the not-for-profit that produces the Festival. “Celebrate Brooklyn! has a long history of bringing some of the best independent music to one of the greatest venues in the country, and we’re expecting this year to be better than ever.”

The ‘Ear to the Ground: Celebrate Brooklyn!’ sampler features a wide spectrum of artists including Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, Kid Koala, Red Clay Ramblers, Bomba Estéreo, Elizabeth Mitchell, and more. Download available at THIS LOCATION.

The renowned Sonic Youth will headline a night of music presented by Celebrate Brooklyn! and LimeWire Store on July 31st. Also on the bill are San Francisco’s Grass Widow and New York’s Talk Normal. For more information on the event, visit
