Video Interview with Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy
On August 14th, 2009, Prog Nation hit up the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto, Ontario where we had the opportunity to chat with legendary drummer Mike Portnoy about the new album Black Clouds & Silver Linings.
The Skinny: The Prog Nation Tour has amazing bands every year and, of course, in the headlining spot is none other then the legendary Dream Theater. On August 14th, 2009, Prog Nation hit up the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto, Ontario where our own Spencer Matulaitis had the opportunity to chat with legendary drummer Mike Portnoy about the new album Black Clouds & Silver Linings, 25 years as a band, the definition of maturity and the future of Dream Theater.
Against The Current: “I’ve seen a lot of bands come and go. We’ve gone the distance, and I’m really proud of that.”
Gaerea: “I knew what emotions I wanted to convey with this album. I knew it was going to be more about me as an individual.”
