Music Choice Premieres SHADOWS FALL “Still I Rise” Video On Demand
Starting August 17, the new video from New England’s Shadows Fall, “Still I Rise,” will be available exclusively on Music Choice, the award winning, multi-platform music network. Forty million music fans across the country will have exclusive access to the video on Music Choice On Demand™ – the most popular free video-on-demand network in the country.
“Still I Rise” is the first video from the band’s upcoming album, Retribution, which streets September 15 on Everblack Industries. The video was shot by longtime Shadows Fall director Zack Merck at the Affliction warehouse in southern California, and was shot in the ring with actual Affliction fighters! Fans were invited to come down and rock out, and they received a special place as extras in the video.
Vocalist Brian Fair commented on the video: “We are all very excited about the upcoming debut of the video for ‘Still I Rise’, the first single from our new album, Retribution. About a month ago, we meet up with director Zach Merck and his film crew at the Affliction Clothing warehouse in southern California. The folks at Affliction were cool enough to have some of their MMA fighters and ring girls come down and allow us to shoot them in action in their cage while extras we had invited were all around them going insane. Even Basko got in on the action for a quick cameo. We then ran through a bunch of takes of the song with the fans up close, including full circle pits around the band. It looks amazing and draws a cool parallel between the aggression of a cage fight and the fury of a metal show. Thanks to all the extras, the fighters, Affliction and Zach and company for making it such a great day.”
Shadows Fall created Everblack Industries label in conjunction with Warner Music Group’s ILG, Ferret Music, and ChannelZERO Entertainment. The blistering new album, Retribution, was produced by Zeuss (Hatebreed, Municipal Waste), with vocal production by Elvis Baskette (Incubus, Alter Bridge).
