the Skinny: Hailing from New Haven Connecticut, The Queen Killing Kings are a piano driven rock outfit featuring roaring organs, thundering drums and sinister lyrics haunted by the tale of an evil romance. The band was founded in 2006 when singer/songwriter Coley O’Toole and drummer Jon Scerbo began exploring the fashions of genre. Armed with a diverse spectrum of artistic influence, their repertoire favored a refreshing blend of rock, blues, jazz and the ever-present shuffle from which they crafted their signature sound. The new, completed record caught the attention of Wind Up Records, who diligently pursued and signed the band. With a completed record slated to release in Summer of 2009, the Queen Killing Kings are bringing their brand of rock to the masses. [ END ]
