the Skinny: From once a humble side project to one of the most innovative alternative metal band on Montreal music scene, Stareblind has always been focusing on the development of a creative compositional process and a colorful and disciplined approach to live performance. Emphasizing on both of these elements, which are staples of their genre, allowed them to progressively gain respect and perform alongside a variety of other notorious bands of the metal scene. Their first album Something left Unexplained released in May 2009 displays the sheer power and refinement of their latest material. Aggressive, yet lyrical vocal textures coupled with bone-crushing rhythm section work create a distinctive and identifiable sound that reflects the proficiency, cohesion and like-mindedness of the individual band members. Stareblind is currently very active in Quebec’s underground music scene and performs relentlessly in venues all across the province, and beyond. [ END ]
