Summary: On June 2nd, 2009, perhaps the biggest rock show of the year came through Toronto, Ontario. The NINJA tour as it has become known as, featuring Nine Inch Nails and a reformed Jane’s Addiction made its way to the Molson Amphitheatre to play in front of a sold out audience. If the combination of NIN and Jane’s wasn’t enough, throw in opening band Street Sweeper Social Club and you’ve got one awesome rock show. SSSC is a brand new rap/rock group featuring the brilliant guitar playing of Rage and Audioslave’s Tom Morello and the political rapping styles of The Coup’s Boots Riley. The group just released their self-titled debut album featuring the infectious first single “100 Little Curses.” We were fortunate to get the opportunity to speak with both Tom and Boots for a few minutes about the new group, the NINJA tour and the new album.
