Video Interview with The Black Dahlia Murder drummer Shannon Lucas
On December 15th in the basement of Ottawa’s Babylon nightclub, Matt Murphy interviewed Shannon Lucas, the drummer of The Black Dahlia Murder.
The Skinny: On December 15th, 2009 in the basement of Ottawa’s Babylon nightclub, Matt Murphy interviewed Shannon Lucas, the drummer of The Black Dahlia Murder. Shannon told Matt about when he joined TBDM, and how as soon as he became a member, he and the rest of the guys went straight to recording their most recent record, Nocturnal. Some might not live through the pressure of writing and recording an album for a band with a history of incredible drummers, so soon after becoming a member, but Shannon did, and made it look easy. He impressed the fans and met the expectations of the judging critics. Matt and Shannon also spoke about the difficulties that arose, when BDM’s lead guitarist John Kempainen quit the band only three days before their month long tour in December of 07. Enjoy the interview!
