Product Review: Music Skins
Product Review: the Gnarly cell phone, PDA, mp3 player, Music Skin.
Ah technology… it has been a seemingly infinite amount of time since we were able to live without it. I mean, can you remember how you felt the last time you left your cell phone at home or your internet was out for over 24 hours or you hit the road without your iPod? While not trying times per se, it’s still a royal pain in the ass to be left without ones device, as we have all quickly grown accustomed to these must-have luxuries.
While I do think the ‘natural’ life is as beautiful as it gets, like most of the modernized world, I too am guilty of falling victim to the desire to boast society’s newest doo-hickys and doo-dads. That said, I have been a cell phone user going on a decade now and more recently fallen in love with the globally renowned CrackBerry! These little badboys are so reliable, useful and addictive that for me to leave home without one is absolutely retarded.
What’s more, is that as with a PC or any personal tech device, I have also become fascinated with the ability to customize my BlackBerry Curve 8310. From the games, themes, backgrounds, and ringtones to the applications, storage device, and media files… it is fun to tinker and beef out my already teeming BB. Loving all of these capabilities I was even more stoked when introduced to the world of skinning via a cool little company called Music Skins (URL above).
Many of us are aware of the various modes of protecting our devices (rubber & plastic cases, etc.) from the daily bumps, dinks, and drunken drops. But did you know you could protect your phone (mp3 player, iPod, etc.), look “trendy” and further personalize your gadget with a simple sticker set? Well… you can!
With an ever-growing catalogue of cool new skins all broken down into convenient categories, Music Skins seems to have something to offer everyone. With skins that fit and cover most of today’s top-selling devices, it was easy to find something for my gnarly phone. Shipping was prompt and the overall process was absolutely painless. The skins arrived in pristine condition and we uber-easy to “install”.
Up and running in 2 minutes or less, I was immediately grooving on my newly-SKULLED BlackBerry. Having used this for about a month now, I have found little to no wear on the skin itself highlighting their excellent, overall durability. I am kinda pissed that the skin works so well though, as I am dying to soon replace it with my other one. Until the day that I easily peel of this fully removable, no residue-leaving sticker and replace it with my other SKULL skin, I shall rock this one proudly.
