Eternal Lord

Blessed Be This Nightmare (2008)

It seems a lot of new bands that are forming contain former members of recently disbanded groups. Fortunately, these veteran rockers transform what could have been something good into something great, which I will refer to as a powerhouse band (alternatively, pseudo-supergroup). Eternal Lord is one of the aforementioned powerhouse bands. They use the experience of Edward Butcher, the well-respected former vocalist of I Killed The Prom Queen, to make music so powerful it nearly crushes your undersized head into mush.

Eternal Lord’s debut album, Blessed Be This Nightmare, is a multi-ranged album, covering many different aspects of the musical world, from grungy breakdowns to rhythmic acoustical compositions and blast-beat drumming—satisfying many of your musical desires all in one compact disc.

The last track, “Blessed”, kicks right into overdrive with a heavy breakdown that will melt your shoes onto your blistered, hardened feet, making it easy for a crowd to jump into a two-step, mosh pit, or throwdown without hesitation. During the bridge, all goes silent except for the triumphing axe of Chris Gregory. The rest of the band kicks it into gear in perfect unison after the bridge, including the famous Butcher.

Eternal Lord delivers a demolishing debut album that can stir fear into even the calloused lumberjack that is deep within every man and woman. Do yourself a favour and get yourself a copy of Blessed Be This Nightmare[ END ]
